• Federal Property Assistance acquires and distributes federally owned tangible personal property declared excess/surplus by the military and federal government. This property is allocated to the State of Florida for the benefit of state and local law enforcement, public agencies and private/nonprofit health and education organizations.
• Fleet Management manages the purchase, operation, maintenance and disposal of the state's fleet of motor vehicles and watercraft. The division establishes policies and procedures for effective and efficient purchase, assignment, use, maintenance and disposal of motor vehicles and watercraft.
• The Office of Supplier Diversity works to improve business and economic opportunities for Florida's woman-, veteran-, and minority-owned businesses. Specifically, the office certifies such businesses and conducts advocacy, outreach, and business matchmaker events.
• Purchasing Oversight promotes fair and open competition in the state's procurement process and provides professional leadership and guidance in understanding and using the best resources available. The Division of State Purchasing's Professional Development program offers public purchasing training and offers three statutorily required certification programs: Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM), Florida Certified Contract Negotiator (FCCN), and Project Management Professional (PMP) for state agency procurement professionals and other eligible users.
• The Bureau of Private Prison Monitoring enters into contracts for the design, construction, and operation of privately operated correctional facilities. The bureau may not enter into a contract unless it determines that the contract or series of contracts in total for the facility will result in cost savings to the state of at least 7% over the Department of Corrections. Once the savings is determined, the bureau enters into an operations and management contract with a private vendor to operate the facility for an agreed upon daily per diem. The bureau currently oversees the operational contracts of seven Florida correctional facilities and currently has fifteen authorized positions.

Agency Contracts for Commodities and Contractual Services. The 2021 Legislature enacted Chapter 2021-225, Laws of Florida, which in addition to provisions for the evaluation, management, and oversight of competitively procured contracts for commodities and contractual services, requires the Secretary of Management Services to evaluate contracts let by the Federal Government, another state, or a political subdivision for the provision of commodities and contract services and make a determination in writing that the contract will provide the best value to the state.

Foreign Influence. The 2021 Legislature enacted Chapter 2021-76, Laws of Florida, which requires the Department of Management Services to screen specified vendors participating in a required online procurement system at least once every five years.
