The Coordinator manages OPPAGA's operations to ensure that the office's products meet the Legislature's information needs. This includes coordinating office-wide activities and resources; strategic planning; reviewing reports and related products; overseeing staff hiring; and serving as an active liaison to the Legislature.

Kara Collins-Gomez assumed the role of Coordinator effective November 9, 2023. Since 1998, she has conducted and led program evaluations and policy analyses on numerous topics, including industry regulation, economic development, and local government services. Ms. Collins-Gomez has served in a variety of roles during her time at OPPAGA, including Chief Legislative Analyst, Senior Staff Director, and Deputy Coordinator. In her most recent role as Deputy Coordinator, Ms. Collins-Gomez assisted the Coordinator in managing OPPAGA's operations. This includes monitoring project progress; reviewing reports and related products; overseeing the quality assurance and product development process; and mentoring management staff.
