Overview
Authority
The 2020 Legislature created the Local Government Efficiency Task Force via Ch. 2020-114, Laws of Florida. The law directs the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Governmental Accountability to provide the task force research support.
Purpose
The task force will review the governance structure and function of local governments and determine if changes are necessary to make such governments more efficient. The task force’s final report is due by June 1, 2021.
